Proposed issues:

  1. Complexity and emergence in artistic practice. Knowledge imaging.  Generative art. Data visualization. Archive, database, mapping.  Understanding the complexity of artists, examples of works, self- presentations.
  2. Relations between science and art. Order and chaos, regularity and  randomness, unambiguity and ambiguity. Mathematical isomorphism. The interaction between the system/work of art and the environment, input-output, cause-effect, super-system and sub-system.
  3. The influence of complexity on aesthetic positions. Aesthetics of visual complexity. Contextual theories.
  4. Discursive geometry – concept, precursors, contemporary practices, undertaken discourses.
